Talk about a fun project. Every blue moon I come across people and get the bright idea to capture them. Enter Ms. Hamilton. She has amazing bone structure and hair for days! II just knew we would have fun working on this high fashion photo session.
The overall idea was to use a basic background...something similar to a Richard Avedon photo session. His backgrounds were typically white and his work in black & white. The first look for this high fashion session was a suit. There is nothing more exquisite than a woman in a well-fitted suit.
We rented this outfit from Rent The Runway and found the jewelry from Sam Moon (as well as my personal collection). The pop of yellow in the shoes brought a necessary break from the black and gray. We found these beautiful stunners at DSW. We hired makeup artist Rachael Joseph of Lynne's Worldd to handle hair and the different makeup looks.
We kept the face simple to bring attention to the eyes. The hair was also pulled back to draw the emphasis on the face. We often hear of the little black dress, but there is also the basic black suit: simple yet oh so sophisticated.
We've included a few images from her session below. What a beauty! The new year is upon us, so keep an eye out. I may need a few faces fairly soon.
