As we head into a new year, we continue to focus on our messages: celebrating small businesses. And, as a black woman-owned business, it’s my pleasure to celebrate other black woman-owned businesses. These young women are doing it!
Let us introduce you all to Mariah of Styles by RiahJ. Mariah decided to pursue a career as a hairstylist in 2017. In high school, Mariah studied cosmetology. She graduated with her cosmetology license in 2019. For the past three years, Mariah has been building her clientele base, all while continuing to hone her skills. Right now, her specialty is coloring hair…no matter the texture, current color of hair, or the desired hair color…she can get it done. Mariah is full of talents, so you may be surprised with what she comes up with next.
We met up with Mariah at The Powder Room in Spring, TX. There is nothing like watching persons in their element. Mariah is beyond professional with her clients, and her level of care is admirable. Be prepared to have a conversation about you and your hairstyle expectations. Mariah will cover all the details and set all the expectations.
