Fall Fashion Bold, Brown, and Blue

We’ve been talking about fall fashion these past months, so it’s only natural we continue on this trend. Years ago, I earned my image consulting certificate and knew I wanted to get folks organized while assisting them with creating their personal style. I didn’t follow through with that dream (not yet anyway), but I am very active in helping my clients find the right “look” for every photo session. Today, it’s all about bold browns and bassline blues.

The look: we decided to visit our closet of infinite possibilities, Rent The Runway. Although I understand we want a wardrobe with something for every occasion, it’s not really necessary. I adore the idea of borrowing what I need for a session and sending it back. Brown is the ultimate autumnal color in my book, so I selected a comfy dress from Hutch. It had polka dots and…wait for it…pockets! What woman doesn’t love a dress with pockets?

We visited the client’s closet for essential accessories. She brought the brown leather boots and her great-grandmother’s rocking navy peacoat. To complete the look, we added rose gold earrings, navy textured tights, and a necklace from Sam Moon. We also borrowed a large brim hat from the G Photography closet and my own personal saddle brown leather Dooney & Bourke crossbody.

The scene: this is just a young woman enjoying a fall day about town. We had a welcoming fall day in downtown Houston. Discovery Green has so many perfect nooks and crannies…we just couldn’t resist. We felt this would be the best place to tell this story. These are only a few of the images we created, but they are stunning. If you’re ready to tell your fashion story: send us a note.
