A Future In The Armed Forces
I recall taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test) when I was in high school. I didn’t think anything of it. I must have taken what felt like a dozen tests during my junior and senior years in high school. If a test was being given, we were encouraged to take it.
Clearly, my test scores were on the positive side. Two recruiters visited with me and my parents a week or two later to discuss my potential future in the Armed Forces. Of course, I was destined for a life in fashion and photography, so my military interest stopped there.
Marrying Into The Miltary
Fast forward to family and loved ones choosing a career in either law enforcement or the armed forces, and we’re at this moment. I never considered marrying a person who was either active in the military or a veteran, but it happened. And marrying into the military changes a few aspects of life.
My grandfather had served, and many family members are serving. I've always admired those who valiantly put their lives on the line daily so that I could live mine. That's not a sacrifice that is taken for granted.

In my heart of hearts, I know the printed photo is more important now than ever. We live forever through others’ memories of us. Traveling down memory lane is a joyous trip with a photo album. This is a time when we come together as a nation to honor and show our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the armed forces, past and present.
It's important to remember that military members make many sacrifices in service to our nation. They may be away from their families for extended periods of time, and they often face dangerous situations while serving in conflict zones. That's why taking the time to honor and thank them for their service and sacrifices is important.
